Owner Reviews, Ratings, Comments and Criticism
Overall this camera exceeded my expectations. I am a huge Canon fan and really wish that Canon would have had a newer model than its D10 underwater camera. If they did I would have gone with them. But, being how we live in the real world, I went with the next best I believe and purchased the TS3. After reading countless hours of reviews relating the top underwater cameras out there right now I decided to purchase this camera based on it having a quicker processing speed and the fact that it goes deeper depts underwater than any other camera out there. My wife and I just returned from our Honeymoon in Hawaii and took over 600+ pictures with the TS3. 90% of those being underwater in a shark cage and snorkeling, and I must say they turned out far better than I thought they would. The pictures that we took out of the water turned out decent as well. I wouldnt say they were "great" or "amazing" because my Canon Powershot G11 takes amazing photos in low light and other conditions, and simply the TS3 could not compare for obvious reasons. One thing I did not like about this camera was the fact that it was hard to see the screen underwater when taking the pics, when their was direct sunlight hitting the LCD display I sort of had to guess that I had the camera pointed in the right direction to take the picture that I wanted. Also, when holding the camera make sure that all fingers and objects are away from the very top left of the camera, as this is where the lens is, and if you hold it inproperly you will block your pictures. I did this a few times, until I got the hang of it.
